Summary of the study: The study aimed to identify the relationship
between social intelligence and life satisfaction among the students
of King Saud University and the study sample consisted of 240
students ( 128 male students , and 112 female students) ( 86
students from disciplines humanity , and 88 students from the
scientific disciplines ) and ( 66 students from the preparatory year ,
and 174 students from the seventh level ) applied to them a
measure of social intelligence prepared by Abu Hashim (2008) and
the measure of life satisfaction for Dessouki (1999) was the use of
the following statistical methods : Pearson correlation coefficient
(Pearson Correlation) to verify the relationship between the
variables of the study , Cronbach's alpha coefficient (Cronbach's
Alpha) to check the consistency of standards , test " T " (T test) to
see the significance of differences between two independent groups
. The hypothesis of the study are as follows: there is significant
relationship between social intelligence and life satisfaction among
the students of King Saud University , there are statistically
significant differences among the students of King Saud University
in each of the social intelligence and life satisfaction depending on
Study level (preparatory year , seventh level) , there are statistically
significant differences among the students of King Saud University
in each of the social intelligence and life satisfaction depending on
the type ( male, female ) , there are statistically significant
differences among the students of King Saud University in each of
the social intelligence and life satisfaction according to different
specialization ( majors scientific , humanitarian disciplines). the
result of the study are as follows : There is a positive correlation
statistically significant between social intelligence and life
satisfaction , there are no statistically significant differences
between social intelligence and life satisfaction by type ( Male,
Female),there are statistically significant differences for intelligent
social by Study level between students of the preparatory year ,
students at the seventh for the benefit of students of the level of the
seventh while there are no statistically significant differences to the
satisfaction of life by Study level ( preparatory year , the level of the
seventh ) there are no statistically significant differences between
social intelligence and life satisfaction by specialization (scientific
disciplines , specialties humanitarian ).
