This study aimed at identifying electronic games and their relationship to
social and psychological disorders of children in the State of Kuwait from
parents point of view, the descriptive survey method was used, and the
questionnaire was used as a study tool, a random simple sample of (757) of
Parents of children in (kindergartens, first grades and second grades) from the
Kuwait Educational District school was selected. The study findings showed
that the most favorite game for children is "Action Games.", and that the most
frequent period for children to play electronic games a day is "more than two
hours.". and there are statistically significant differences in the degree of mental
and social disorders of children attributed to the variable type of electronic
games in favor of the category (action games) compared with the other
categories (sports, science fiction, educational) games. And there are statistically
significant differences in the degree of mental and social disorders of children
attributed to the variable duration of playing electronic games in favor of the
category (more than two hours) compared with the two categories (from one
hour to two hours and less than an hour), and in favor of the category (from one
hour to two hours) compared with the category (Less than an hour).
