A Teaching Model Based On the Theory of Semantic Disciplines to
Develop Comprehension Listening Skills for Speakers of Other
Languages Who Study Arabic.

This study aimed at designing a teaching model based on some of
the guidance of the semantic discipline theory to develop
comprehension listening skills for speakers of other languages who
study Arabic in the intermediate level. The problem of the study can
be summarized in the weakness of comprehension listening skills for
intermediate level students because of the lack of modern guidance
and theories which may contribute to develop these skills. Therefore,
this study aimed at designing a teaching model which may contribute
to develop comprehension listening skills for those students as well
as measuring its effectiveness through designing a listening test that
measures comprehension levels.
