Degree of the risk management application from the public
schools leaders in Qassim

This study aimed to determine the degree of the risk management application
from the public schools leaders in Qassim. The sample consists of (456) school
leaders. To achieve the objectives of the study, a questionnaire was prepared, its
validity and reliability were confirmed. It contains (33) items divide into three
domains: the planning of the risk management, the risk management
implementation and the risk management evaluation. The results of the study
show that the degree of the risk management application from the public schools
leaders is medium in the following order: the risk management implementation,
the planning of the risk management and finally the risk management
evaluation. The study reveals statistically significant differences between the
means of the sample responses at the risk management application according to
the experience variable for the school leaders (from 5 to less than 10 years)
experience, according to the academic qualification variable for the school
leaders with (high diploma), and according to the school stage variable for the
leaders of (primary schools). The study recommends organizing training
programs for middle and high school leaders in Qassim to raise their awareness
of planning, implementation and evaluation the risk management.
